Grandma's "talks" |
July 12, 2013 |
Grandma we had the best of times together! I loved having you stay the night with me. We would play games, go places, make breakfast together ( sausage links, homemade bread, strawberry jam & coffee) your favorite. The list could go on and on of the things we did together, however what I miss the most is our "talks." I loved to hear you talk about when you were growing up & what life was like for you as a kid. Life wasn't easy for you at times but you never dwelt on that, you always spoke of the good things & especially how God had changed your life when you got the Holy Ghost. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you have given me & for teaching me about the love of God ( you lived it.) Im so thankful that last Aug 2012 that Savannah & I got to go to the beach with you & Mom, we had so much fun with you. I hold every memory with you dear to my heart. You are truly the best Grandma in the world!
~With all the love in my heart

Momma,
I miss you so much. I know I will go on living but things will never really be the same. I have not let myself think about certain things yet. I just can't the hurt is still so fresh. I hope you knew that you are the best Mother anyone could ever have. Everything that I am today is because of the things you taught me. You taught me humility. You never thought too highly of yourself. You taught me about forgiveness. You never held a grudge. You taught me about faithfulness. You were steadfast in your committment to God and family. You taught me kindness. You were careful how you treated people. You taught me to never comprimise. You never wavered on what you believed you lived it, taught it and never made excuses for your children or Grandchildren if they didn't. Thank you for that. You taught me honestly. You taught me to love. You taught me so much... I hope that I live my life in a way that would bring you honor. I will see you again. I will try to raise my children with the same values that you instilled in me. I will teach them truth. I will not make excuses for them if they are not doing right. I will Love the way you taught me too. I will love completely.
You would be so happy to know that Daysha is moving over to Greg and Cindy's. She feels God calling and she is answering his call. Jim is gonna make it Mom. Cindy hurts but she is gonna be okay. We all will be okay. Just sad but time will help that right?

Beloved Grandma |

You have been a wonderful grandma to me these 14 years. I loved the many times we would sit down to a good scrabble game. The times we just sat in the kitchen and talked. The times you would tell me about things you remembered of me growing up. You've always been in my life even before Trav and I were married and its so hard to imagine that your not there any more.
You always made me feel so special and loved.
Theres an empty place in my heart and life with you gone. When we come to Washington for a visit things just won't be the same without you there.
I wish you could have been with us 20 more years and watched the boys become men.
I miss you.
You will always be in my heart.

Praying Grandmother |

Grandma I will never forget your love for God and his Word. You were the greatest example of how to pray and worship. I can still see you in my minds eye doing your best to get around the aisles of the church with that one hand raised in the air rejoicing in the Lord with that shout of victory!

I remember the visits we shared in your home near the Jesus Name Pentecostal Church.... Your words of wisdom remain.... Life may have distanced us. But the memories are ever near..... I've always loved and respected you.... Your worship unto the Lord back in the day at the Jesus Name Pentecostal, is forever etched in my mind..... :) I love you :)
